A Little About Me

“All I know is that I know nothing” – Socrates

Socrates’ famous phrase 2400 years ago somehow manages to capture most of what I feel about myself (and shows you that I cannot escape the cliché of opening with a quote). Despite living on Earth for thirty odd years I feel as if I know nothing, especially when it comes to the markets. It is like a puzzle; patterns and structure seemingly appear up until you place your trade in which case everything disappears as if morning mist. I spend my hours outside of work, studying and researching. I hope to publish of my research in respected journals. I enjoy looking into what has been referred to as the ‘most interesting puzzle’, market finance. Well, I guess I also play games… a lot of games.

My Research

I have completed a PhD in the field of market microstructure at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. I have immense interest in volatility and liquidity, market efficiency, technical analysis, behavioural finance, and new technology in the financial markets.
